8 secrets of success

According to Richard St John the 8 secrets of success are:

_ Passion
_Hard work
_To try to get good on your aim
_Focus yourself on one thing
_Push yourself physically and mentally
_To serve things of value
_To have good ideas
_To persist

Second to me hard word is the best secret of success especially in studies! Since the beginning of my studies I could noticed that even if you are passionate only hard work pay. Last year I failed an important exam for the business school of Grenoble and I know that I didn’t work enough. Even if I was focus and persistent I failed! So as a French slogan says “there are no secrets, only work pay”. And yes that slogan tells the truth!

Today people who have a good job have often worked a lot during them studies, I think about Doctor or lawyer for example. Only a minority of people succeeds thanks to passion or creativity the proportion of artist among a population is very low. Of course I would prefer to succeed thanks to my passion because it’s more exciting but unfortunately in our society it doesn’t work like that! So my best advice is “don’t reflect just work!”

Drawing upon humor for a change

What according to you is the central idea of the speech?

Culture and Tradition condition our education and our way of life. Actually boys and girls have to do them choices in accordance with stupid standards.
Donnelly attempts to denounce it with funny draws and advocate more freedom especially for women.

Do you agree with it?

Yes I am totally agreed with her! Why women have to like pink and dance. Those standards alter our real personality.
I think humor is the best way to change mentality. Actually making laugh people, they’ll realize how much traditional education doesn’t make any sense sometime!  Often humor is more efficient than provocation.

Would you agree with Donnelly when she says that the sense of humor changes according to one's culture?

Of course! Traditions depend of the culture so it’s necessary to adapt the message to increase everybody. What make us laugh in France will be considered as unthinkable in another place. For example in countries where women are not really respected it will be very delicate to use humor…

Incredible Gregory !

Gregory 29 years old comes from Lyon. He was born without his left arm. Despite of that handicap he wanted to fight against it to realize his dream. Since he was very young he ever had a passion for cooking.

In 2009 he competed for the French TV show ‘Un diner Presque parfait’. For someone who doesn’t have any handicap that competition is hard so imagine the difficulty for him in doing cook with only one arm! Thank’s to his talent and his joy he won! People didn’t believe it.

Since that first victory he has only one aim: to outperform himself. And he did it! One year after, he competed to a competition with all the winners of ‘Un diner Presque parfait’. He won two!

Today he is really famous and he presents a cooking show on M6 every week!

Moreover he will participate on an advertising campaign against disabled person discriminations.
That’s a good moral lesson.

Welcome to Grenoble !

So welcome to Grenoble!

It’s only my third year in the town and there are many good things to do in Grenoble. I really enjoy the food so I am going to recommend you especially place to eat or drink!
To begin, if you want to take a good brunch I recommend you to go to Hägen Daz in the “place Grenette”. It’s true that it didn’t come from Grenoble but ice cream, waffles, muffins and crepes are delicious and the prices are reasonable.

To eat special and really good food I advise you to go to the “Liban vert”. This restaurant is located in front of the “Notre-Dame” church. You can discover typical Liban food and believe me it’s a really good and tasty food!

If you prefer to stay at home because it’s raining you can order some pizzas at the most famous pizzaïollo of the town: Serge Pizza in front of the park “Paul Mistral”, next to the “Stade des Alpes”. You will found a large choice of pizzas. Vegetarian pizzas are also excellent and the check is light!

I wish you will enjoy in Grenoble!

My name is Sabrina Mechaïri, I'm 20 years old. I come from Annecy, it's a beautiful city near the Switzerland frontier. I've got two sisters olders than me (I'm happy of that !!).

I study in Grenoble since september 2008 and I live in a flat in the center of the Campus. This year I do a Licence Information Communication at Stendhal Unicersity but I don't really like it, the lessons are tedious so I wait the end impatiently !

For next year I wish I will be accept in the Business School of Grenoble to do Marketing to work on luxury indutry (watchmaking, leather, jewellery...).

In my own time I really like to do shopping with my friends but it doesn't mean that I'm a shallow girl !

One of the things that I prefer is to cook for family or friends ! For me food is the best pleasure in our life.

For the future I whish I will  earn enough money in my life to travel all around the world because I really want to discover other culture and espacially Indian culture !
